The right to receive student benefits does not apply to students who already hold one of the following degrees:
– Master’s, Master of Science in Engineering, or an equivalent degree;
– Bachelor’s or Engineer’s degree, or an equivalent, if the student is reapplying for a first-cycle (Bachelor’s) program.
The total period during which a student may receive the above-mentioned benefits is 12 semesters, regardless of whether the benefits are actually used, with the following limits:*
-
For first-cycle (Bachelor’s) programs – no more than 9 semesters;
-
For second-cycle (Master’s) programs – no more than 7 semesters.
*All semesters started by the student are counted, including those falling within periods of academic leave. In the case of studying in multiple programs simultaneously, overlapping semesters are counted as one. A student enrolled in more than one program at the same time may receive a scholarship for only one program of their choosing.
The right to receive benefits does not apply to students who are:
– professional soldiers who began their studies based on a referral from the appropriate military authority and received educational support under military service regulations;
– soldiers called up for voluntary basic military service as specified in Article 95(4)(1) of the Act of March 11, 2022, on the Defense of the Homeland, or professional soldiers studying at military universities where they are simultaneously serving;
– officers of state services in candidate service, or those who began their studies with the consent or referral of a competent superior and received support in accordance with regulations on public service.
A student who applies for or receives any form of scholarship is legally obliged to immediately inform the university of any circumstances that would result in the loss of eligibility for such benefits (e.g., receiving a Master’s or equivalent degree, or a Bachelor’s/Engineer’s degree in a repeated program, or the expiration of the eligible benefit period).
