Persons with ASD Education and Support

The study program in the specialization Persons with ASD Education and Support prepares students for therapeutic and educational work with children and adolescents with autism.
The aim of the program is to develop competencies in early diagnostic and therapeutic intervention for children with autism, as well as the ability to plan educational, revalidation, and rehabilitation activities for children and youth on the autism spectrum. This includes the development of Individual Educational and Therapeutic Programs (IETPs) for individuals with ASD at all levels of education.

The program is intended for individuals who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.

Graduates gain qualifications to conduct classes in preschools and all types of schools, as well as in educational and care institutions, working as support teachers for children with autism or Asperger’s syndrome (autism spectrum disorder).

Students acquire comprehensive, interdisciplinary knowledge concerning individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or social maladjustment. The curriculum addresses current labor market needs in Poland and abroad.

Courses are conducted by a qualified faculty, including academic authorities, specialists, and experienced practitioners.
Professional internships offer students the opportunity to gain practical knowledge, develop skills, build professional networks, and open up career prospects in partner institutions, organizations, and companies.
